The Hévíz spa lake is the largest biologically active, natural thermal lake in the world, which refreshes both body and soul.
The 4.6-hectare, precisely 46,350 m2 lake with a spring depth of 38.5 meters is fed by a spring containing sulfur, radium and minerals, which, thanks to its abundant water flow, completely replaces the water within 72 hours. The water of Lake Hévíz is equally rich in dissolved and gaseous substances, combining the favorable properties of carbonated, sulphurous, calcium, magnesium and bicarbonate medicinal waters.
The warm water breaking up is around 40°C, but due to the season and the weather on the water surface, it is roughly 24°C in the coldest time, while it reaches 38°C in the summer months.
